Our client is a global transport services provider with multiple sites across London and the UK. Owing to massive growth across the business, there is a need for an experienced HR Officer to join the existing team, providing support across ER, generalist HR and a range of projects.
Reporting to a HR Business Partner, who in turn reports to the Head of HR, you will work alongside two HR BP’s and a HR Administrator proving day to day general HR Advice, and support on critical projects such as TUPE activity, restructures and administrative work. You will also be responsible for the generation of HR reports, attending Hearing Panels, On-going Review meetings, and note taking in Trade Union meetings.
The role will involve regular travel to various sites across London and so whilst the main base is Chiswick, you will be expected to work at other locations c.2-3 days a week.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a positive, pro-active approach and an open learning style. Pragmatic and sensible, you will be confident in dealing with senior stakeholders and be able to “hold your own” in more challenging situations. With CIPD qualifications you will have good experience and knowledge of handling disciplinary, grievance and dismissal issues and a solid understanding of current employment law and ACAS guidelines. Excellent writing skills and solid skills in Word, Excel and Outlook are critical.
