HR Director ($110k-$126K plus benefits) – Western Arizona
We are delighted to be supporting a respected regional healthcare organisation as they look to appoint an experienced HR leader to head up their HR function. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a department that plays a vital role in the continuum of care, while shaping how people, processes, and standards come together to deliver exceptional service across a busy healthcare setting.
In this role you will set the strategic direction for the department, developing goals, plans, and standards that align with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements. You will oversee all aspects of departmental performance, from patient care delivery and information systems through to service levels, continuous improvement, and complaint resolution.
Your leadership will be central to creating an environment where colleagues can grow professionally. You will manage staffing plans, hiring, onboarding, performance management, training, and any corrective actions, ensuring the team is equipped and inspired to deliver consistently high standards.
Financial stewardship is also key. You will develop and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring all activity remains compliant with allocated funding. You will coordinate internal and external audits, maintain rigorous compliance standards, and safeguard sensitive and confidential information in line with regulatory requirements including HIPAA.
This role also carries full people management responsibility. You will plan and review work, set quality standards, make hiring and development decisions, lead performance reviews, and support your team through change.
What we are looking for
You will bring in-depth professional HR experience within a healthcare environment, along with strong organisational awareness, sound judgement, and the ability to navigate varied and complex challenges.
You will need strong analytical skills, the confidence to interpret data and present insights, and the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency with core business software is important to support reporting, documentation, and project activity, and you should feel comfortable overseeing multiple initiatives at once.
If you thrive in a setting where you can truly influence outcomes, support continuous improvement, and help shape a team’s impact across a healthcare organisation, this could be a fantastic next step.
