An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Director to join a complex, international and highly regulated organisation on a fixed term basis. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role will lead the delivery of HR operations while driving the execution of the wider people strategy. The position carries senior leadership responsibility with broad exposure across global HR activity.

The HR Director will oversee the effective delivery of HR operations including global payroll, pensions, benefits and core HR services, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory and governance requirements. A key focus of the role will be driving operational efficiency through the review and enhancement of systems and processes, including HRIS and payroll transformation, improved reporting and the adoption of technology. The role will also oversee the development and implementation of global HR policies and ensure operational risks are effectively managed.

This individual will provide strong leadership to the HR leadership team, offering coaching and development support while promoting a high performance and service focused culture. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, the HR Director will lead on complex employee relations matters, support employee engagement initiatives and ensure HR practices align with organisational values. The role will also have responsibility for remuneration processes, budgeting and cost management, global mobility activity and the delivery of key HR projects and initiatives.

Candidates must have current or recent senior HR experience within the financial services sector and be comfortable operating in a regulated environment. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including SMCR, is essential, alongside proven experience managing complex employee relations issues and HR risk. The successful candidate will be commercially minded, influential at executive level and able to balance hands on operational delivery with longer term strategic priorities.

This role would suit a senior HR leader who thrives in a fast paced, international environment and is confident leading change while maintaining high standards of governance and compliance. Please note, this role requires someone who can start at short notice.
