This week’s news of British Airways recent proposals for many of its employees to take voluntary redundancies, unpaid leave or pay cuts, seemed to be a bridge too far. With more than 20,000 British Airways workers rejecting further proposals from the employer to cut another 3,500 jobs and impose pay freezes, were BA employees right to do so, or should they have tried to work closer in supporting the business through these challenging times?
